The Ghost of College Past

The summer before I started school I was offered an amazing opportunity to spend a week in Chicago for the international Girls World Forum. I was more than eager to go and it would be the first time that I'd be traveling out of the time zone. Read about my trip here: http://www.girlscoutsnyc.org/blog?p=470

... and learn a little about one of the greatest experiences ever.

This is not a healthy way to live.
Welcome to college, it's all fun and games until its not.

Hell Week

Finals are upon us, and here's what's going down:

1. Sleep, but no rest
2. Adrenaline, but no will
3. EXHAUSTION, but no end
4. Sugar, but no high
5. COMPLETE AND ABSOLUTE EMPTYMINDED-NESS

On this day, I stared at my computer a whole lot and bought things from the interwebs.
Progress scale = 2% Accomplished!
It doesn't help that you can see turquoise water in the Caribbean from Living Earth. This chica needs a long vacation.

Spring 2013!

1. I think I'm sick. It sucks a lot. But I may just be delirious

I may be getting ahead of myself, but I'm really looking forward to spring semester. Even though it'll mostly be terrible weather until the end of April-ish, spring is a good season for me. Unlike the fall, I don't get allergies (yay!) and instead of getting miserably colder, it gets wonderfully warmer and by May, you get to go home and enjoy the wonderful bouts of sunshine and happiness. Sounds marvelous! I think that as long as I get the majority of the classes I want, I should be pretty happy. Nothing beats a class you really enjoy, but that's just the nerdbot in me speaking.

Plus, the springies are coming! It'll be nice not to be the freshest of the pick and funnily enough, the friends that I've made prior to coming here were all springies. But now they're coming and friends will be bountiful and everything will be wonderful!

Another plus: crew is starting back up! Although we won't be getting on the water for a while, I think it'll be nice to get back into the in-season routine.

But before the next semester starts up, Christmas is coming! I think that everyone's so obsessed with the close of the semester and finals and everything that they've forgotten that CHRISTMAS IS TWO (and a half-ish) WEEKS AWAY! I'll admit that what really got my excited about Christmas was the Holiday update for Tiny Tower #lame.

Before I start hurling everywhere, I'm just going to go back to watching Scandal and Grey's Anatomy and maybe I'll make some tea or something. Sucks to be sick.

Almost There

Bonjour, mes amies!

Can you believe that it's the end of the semester?! Only three more days of class to go until dreaded final exams...

Now that I've successfully completed my first semester of college and have nearly made it out alive, here are a few highlights:
1. Every single morning on the river, regardless of having to wake up at 5 and going to bed at 9
2. The anticipated A in my business seminar (that isn't actually official yet)
3. Founder's Day!
4. "Climbing" the mountain on Mountain Day

Nevertheless, I can't wait to go home and reunite with the wonderful city that I've missed so much! See you on the 15th, NY.
